DIY Rainbow Loom holder
Finally a solution to that big bucket of Rainbow Loom jewelry and trinkets!
Organize all your Rainbow Loom bracelets, rings, charms, and necklaces all while recycling ordinary recyclables found around the house!
You will need:
-a colorful plastic lid
-two paper towel tubes
-toilet paper tubes
–colorful duct tape
-an empty vitamin bottle (with the same diameter as the empty tubes)
-glue
-beads, shells, fabric flowers, or other decorations
Using a power drill or a sharp knife, cut a hole (1 ½” in diameter) in the exact center of the plastic lid.
Insert the first paper towel tube inside the second tube to keep the jewelry holder from bending, creasing, or collapsing. We also stuffed toilet paper tubes inside the doubled up paper towel tubes for extra durability. Slide the tubes through the hole in the lid and glue in place.
Cut a piece of duct tape (roughly 6″ long) and wrap it around the base of the paper towel tube. A little bit over overlap is good because it covers the tube and gives it extra support. Cut a second piece of duct tape and attach above the first piece, overlapping just a bit. Continue with this until you’re almost to the top of the tube.
Insert the empty vitamin bottle, top down, into the top of the paper towel tube. The medicine bottle will give you a rounded edge at the top of the jewelry holder. Once the bottle is in place, cut another 6″ piece of duct tape and attach the bottle to the paper towel tube. Before you completely cover the bottle, cut a piece of duct tape (about 3″ long) and center it on top of the bottle. Gently push the sides down so that there are as few creases as possible.
Cut one last 6″ piece of duct tape so that the medicine bottle is completely covered.
Using beads, shells, and flowers, decorate the base of the jewelry holder.
We glued shells upright to the tube so they serve as ring or charm holders.
