Saint Olga of Kiev coloring page: July 11th
Olga was married to Prince Igor of Kieve, Russia, until his death in 945. Olga was extremely upset by her husband’s death and avenged his death shortly afterwards. Igor’s death made his three year old son the future ruler. However, another tribe, the Drevlians, wanted Olga to marry their prince so that he might be ruler. Because Olga had no desire to remarry and wanted the throne for her son, she had nearly the entire race of Drevlians destroyed. In the mid 900s, Olga converted to Christianity and spent the remainder of her life spreading the Faith.
